Rather than throw away your children's book orders, use the pictures of the books for doing some fun artwork. This octopus loves to read YOUR child's favorite books! They will enjoy picking their fav's.

This is an idea that we use frequently for practicing ABC's  and 123's. Take a fun photo from a magazine, off a greeting card, etc. and cut it into strips, writing on your info to be chronologically placed. Fun to make. This gives the person a fun reward at the end and a sense of accomplishment for performing a task that can sometimes become so tedious and repetitive.

A gift Supplies: pgs from a magazine, apple sauce cup, a rock smaller than the cup, white mints, hot glue, flower paper punch or flower shaped cut outs 1. Pull 3 magazine pages out of a magazine. 2. Roll them tight, as tight as your finger. 3. Tape them down the seam. 4. Criss cross them, staple in the center. 5. Press the stapled part down into your apple sauce cup in the center. 6. Place the rock in to weigh it. 7. Cut the pieces sticking up dif. sizes. 8. Glue flowers and mints on top.

Supplies: A balloon, a tracing of your hand on tissue paper (one color), more tissue paper, a paint brush, glue, scissors, a gift to put in the finished hand-bowl 1. Blow up the balloon. 2. Put gluey water, tissue cut out of a hand and tissue onto the top 1/3 of the balloon. Make sure the hand is against the balloon, other tissue on top. 3. Let dry. 4. Pop the balloon. 5. We went on a Florida vacation and brought many shells home after the trip. We wanted to figure out some cool idea as to incorporating the shells. So we made mermaids and mermen at our house. We had been on a cruise, so we used the bingo markers for the scales on our characters. FUN!

We have spent COUNTLESS hours with these (former sipper) cups that my mom has hung onto. We have learned to stack them and make all sorts of buildings. They're colorful, they teach us how to be delicate and careful and be skillful with balancing and building.

We cut out all sorts of fun shapes and paint them. Great idea because the designs are simple, the cardboard sturdy, the possibilities endless.

My little one(s) look forward to this letter sound practice daily. Just cut out 8 magazine photos. Draw a spider web spoke across your paper. Print the beginning sound letter in each section. Let them glue the photo to the correct area. FUN!

A great, great fine motor skill activity, we spell and make pictures all over the floor with our collection of beads.

Kids love to stamp. So we put a twist on it and ask them to stamp following some specifics. They enjoy it!

Every year, our family makes unique costumes for Halloween. It not only gives the child great pride, self confidence but POSITIVE attention and excitement about themselves. Arlynn wanted to be a princess, and that costume(s) are so over done. We did a princess pumpkin patch where it lit up with battery operated lights. And it had a drop box for the candy. She felt very special with her unique outfit!

Something so different, brings pride and confidence and POSITIVE attention to your little one on trick or treat night.

One great costume to create an interactive experience for a costume. The candy-giver-outer gets to decide where to put their candy, to take a vote on the proposed question or poll taking place on the costume.

With everything being so pricey now a days, we like to send out a gift after Christmas (sales 50-90% off) but before New Years. We find likeitems that are just fun and assemble them. This is a snow themed gift, a light up snow flake (under all the stuff) play snow balls, plates, cupcake wrappers, cheese puffs, etc. The packing is edible, mint puffs. We used a yard waste brown paper bag to wrap the whole thing in for sending.

We've seen this one before. Modified it. You can too. Using a cup for a base, you can make a tree out of anything for the top, with, whatever items you want to decorate. Just a nice concept. Turns out very cute!

A craft that we came up with out of a balloon and a toilet paper roll. Fun and easy.

Go on a walk. Pick some leaves. Press them in between contact paper with some eyeballs that you create (punches, drawn on, whatever) and give them names and personalities. Gets little minds creative juices flowing.

My girls and I came up with this super cute idea for their sister's softball team. We printed a glove on grocery bag paper. Cut them out. Bought snow ball cup cakes. Alcoholed off the printing on the plastic wrapper (just on the cupcake area). Drew strings on the plastic wrapper with sharpy. Taped the cupcake to the glove. Turned out super cute!

We made this cup of hot chocolate instead of a snowman. The kids loved the original idea, we even pasted it to our neighborhood FB page and got a great response. We just built straight up, put a handle on it and carved some out on top, filled that space with some mulch. Made some "marshmallows" with snow packed in a snow bucket. Turned out soooo cute. One great memory!
